“No Antibodies Developed After Taking Covishield”: Complaint Filed Against Adar Poonawalla

Pratap Chandra, a resident of Lucknow, has filed a complaint against Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India. Apart from Poonawalla, the complaint also mentions the names of DCGA director, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Luv Agarwal, ICMR director Balram Bhargava, National Health Mission director Aparna Upadhyay and others.

According to IANS report, Pratap Chandra has alleged that he did not develop antibodies after taking the Covishield vaccine shot.

On 8th April, Chandra received his first dose of Covishield and also opted for a Covid Antibody GT test from a government-approved lab.

As per the complaint, Chandra did not develop any antibodies against Covid-19, instead, his platelets had gone down to 1.5 lakh from 3 lakh.

The police have received the complaint but no FIR has been registered. The police said that they have informed the senior officers about the sensitivity of the case. Meanwhile, Chandra has warned that if the police do not file an FIR, he will go to the court.
