The SC refused a petition about delaying the NEET and JEE exams this year.
Justice Arun Mishra, who headed the three-judge Bench, told the petitioners that, “The show must go on!”

Being a valid statement, the situation is still not easy to control.
76,826 new cases of Covid-19 were detected just yesterday. Inspecting a 7 digit number of students coming in from every part of the country, jammed in a limited spaced room would be difficult. Thermal screening is a process of detecting radiation which can be helpful. But, the body temperature of every individual varies and a high temperature is just one common symptom of the virus. Also,
asymptomatic patients do not show any symptoms so identifying such cases can be a task.

Providing PPE kits may be effective, but, such a huge gathering on such dark days may put many lives at risk. Not just COVID but there are other diseases too.

Hygienic places to stay and food to eat, in a specified budget, would be difficult for the students traveling and for the ones who don’t have roofs on their heads, due to the Floods in North-East India.
Considering online exams as an option, few students don’t have money and the others, electricity. NEET and JEE are both stressful examinations and students have been seen taking extreme steps due to unexpected results. 28 students a day, is the suicide rate in India and in an overall tense situation,
these exams may stress them more.
