Amid the reopening of schools and colleges, students below 18 years of age have now been allowed to board Mumbai local trains from 20 October.

Only monthly passes will be issued as of now and students will have to provide their Aadhaar cards as well as school ID cards for their verification at railway stations.

Railway officials will be verifying the student ID cards while giving them entry to the stations.
