Starting today, the BEST buses will run 24×7 in Mumbai. Usually, when regular bus services come to a halt, as many as six night bus routes will begin to operate from midnight 5 am.
It will include route 1 from Electric House, Colaba to Mahim Bus station, route 66 Ltd from Electric House to Sion, route 202 Ltd from Mahim Bus Station to Poisar depot, route 302 from Sion to Mulund West, route 305 from Backbay depot to Sion and lastly, route 440 Ltd from Mahim to Borivali, passing through both airports.
On Sunday, BEST also announced that it will also launch Airport Express buses in the upcoming days which will be catering to overnight passengers.
It has been confirmed by the BEST General Manager Lokesh Chandra – “We have finalized the airport exclusive night buses and will announce the launch date in the next few days.”
Further, he also added, “It was a long pending demand from commuters to have late night buses, We are glad that we will be keeping our buses running 24×7 for a city that never sleeps.”
