On Sunday, police registered an FIR against a Mira Road resident who posted an advertisement on Facebook saying that he will sell flats only to Gujaratis, Jains and Marwadis.
The person who wanted to buy the flat has registered an FIR with the Mira Road police over this prejudice. The police have not arrested anyone so far.
The case has been registered under IPC Section 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony).
