Since the onset of pandemic, Mumbai reported zero deaths due to Covid on Oct 17 for the first time.
After witnessing this, the Maharashtra government announced on Oct 18 the timing extension of restaurants and shops. Along with this, the Maharashtra government has also decided to allow amusement parks to reopen from Oct 22.
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and the Covid Task Force had a meeting in which the issue of Covid vaccination for children was also discussed for which the CM has instructed the Health Department to stay in touch with the Central government to keep the vaccination stock ready for children.
