Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that the third Covid wave is expected to be mild in impact; medical oxygen and ICU beds will not be needed during the period of the third wave.
Talking about the present situation of Covid, Health Minister Tope has said that 80% of citizens are vaccinated in the state, and the infection level and mortality rate are less at the time being.
Tope also added that he had med Union Minister in the previous week to seek a nod from the Centre to administer booster dose of vaccines for health workers, senior citizens, frontline workers, and vulnerable sections and has sought to inoculate children in the 12-18 years of age group.
