It has been proposed by the State Home Department to withdraw the cases that have been lodged during Covid pandemic, including students. The state cabinet has approved the proposal. Nearly 10,000 cases have been registered across Maharashtra.
Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil said “During Covid, cases have been registered against citizens including students for the violation of curfew or other curbs. These cases pose problems for students seeking to study overseas.”
He also said that the proposal will be put forth before the cabinet and the withdrawal process will be initiated only after its approval.
