Key Points:
- The state of Maharashtra will be going under a Night Lockdown – Curfew from tonight, 28th March to 15th April.
- Gatherings of more than 5 people will not be allowed from 8 PM to 7 AM.
- All Cinema Halls (Single Screens and Multiplexes), Malls, Auditoriums and restaurants will remain shut too.
- The manufacturing sector can work with full capacity making sure the Covid-19 protocols are followed.
The state of Maharashtra will be going under a Night Lockdown – Curfew in order to control the increasing Covid-19 cases from tonight, 28th March.
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray announced the curfew on Friday and said that the Lockdown is No Intention currently and if it is, the public will be given details about it before hand.
Dates of the Night Curfew:
From 28th March, 2021 To 15th April, 2021
Timing of the Night Curfew
8 PM to 7 AM
General Guidelines:
- Gatherings of more than 5 people will not be allowed from 8 PM to 7 AM.
- All public places (especially Gardens and Beaches) will remain closed from 8 PM to 7 AM.
- All Cinema Halls (Single Screens and Multiplexes), Malls, Auditoriums and restaurants will remain shut too.
- Home Delivery from restaurants and hotels is however allowed in the given time.
- Any kind of any Social / Cultural / Political / Religious Gatherings are not permitted.
- Auditoriums or Drama Theatres should not be used for the purpose of conducting the Gatherings.
- 50 individuals is the gathering limit for the occasion of Weddings.
- Only 20 people will be allowed to perform the ritual of the last rites.
- All private offices except health related and other essential services must function at 50% capacity.
- In the case of Government or Semi Government offices, the Head of the office will decide the staff attendance adhering to the Covid-19 protocols.
Manufacturing Sector Guidelines:
- The manufacturing sector can work with full capacity making sure the Covid-19 protocols are followed.
- In order to maintain social distancing, manufacturing units can increase the working shifts as per the decision of the local authorities.
- No entry without masks will be allowed in the manufacturing sectors.
- Temperature measurement devices a must and individuals with high body temperature must not be allowed in.
- Enough sanitizers to be placed around the place and Social distancing is must.
Thus, in order to control the ever increasing Covid-19 cases in the state of Maharashtra, the state government has taken this step and has urged the citizens to follow the guidelines strictly.
