Mumbai: A cautious easing of the lockdown as part of ‘Mission Begin Again’ has begun as the Maharashtra government extended the lockdown in the entire state till September 30.

Maharastra with 7.80 lakh cases and above 24,000 deaths due to the virus stands first in the country on both counts.

The extension is an ‘Emergency Step’ to prevent the spread of Corona virus.

Guidelines by the Government :

– Inter-district movement of transport of goods and people.

– E-Pass not required for travel inter-district.

– Hotels in Maharashtra allowed to operate with 100% capacity with strict Standard Operating Procedures .

– Private offices allowed to operate with 30% capacity in Maharashtra.

– In Government offices:

Group A and B with 100% attendance Rest with 30% strength in Mumbai, MMR, Pune, etc.

– Attendance of 50% staff in the rest of Maharashtra.

– Private and minibuses allowed to operate. Guidelines to be given by State Transport Commissioner.

– Cinema halls, metro rail, schools, colleges to remain shut.

– No international flights

– No social, political, sports, religious functions permitted.

All the other activities will continue in the Non-containment zones of Maharastra.
