Schools in Maharashtra are reopening from December 1 for classes 1-7 in urban areas and classes 1-4 in rural areas.

  • It has to be ensured by the school authorities that the students maintain a distance of at least 6 feet all the time.
  • Masks must be worn by all students and staff members. If anyone approaches the school campus, then they must wear a mask too.
  • Anybody found with symptoms shall be stopped at the gate and shall not be allowed to enter the campus.
  • As said by the Health Department, schools must ensure that the non-teaching staff has completed their vaccination.
  • Regular sanitisation is advised and schools must keep their surroundings clean. It has been advised that everyone must wash their hands frequently, thus eliminating any risk of infection.
  • Biometric attendance systems must be avoided at this time; alternative ways can be used.
  • Activities leading to crowds, games and gatherings must be avoided.
  • Official orders say that the students must have access to online education.
  • The students will have to follow all the rules and must try to adhere to them.
