Final year University Examinations are likely to be held in the month of October, and the results would be declared by the end of the same. Nearly a total of almost 8 lakhs students are going to appear for the exams in universities across the state.
Maharashtra higher education minister Uday Samant on Monday, 31st August said that” although the state will conduct exams, no student will have to step out of the house”. The committee members are considering three options namely online mode, open-book exams, and assignments.
Samant further stated that “Considering the pandemic we are firm on the position that students cannot be made to come to the center to take examinations” He added that all universities have agreed that it is not possible for students to appear for the exams in the view of the pandemic.
The panel members are expected to be ready with their schedule by September 2, wednesday.
According to sources, the final year exams will be set on less number of marks, so that it is easier for students to score. With the Supreme Court ruling in favor of holding the exams, the five-month deadlock over the exams has finally come to an end.
