On Wednesday, Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced that all the schools in Maharashtra will stay closed for two weeks on the occasion of Diwali.
The vacation started from Thursday and will go up till Nov 10. The schools will not be allowed to conduct online classes too until the vacation is over. This directive has been applied to all the classes from Kindergarten to class 12.
On October 4, schools in Maharashtra had opened for offline classes after the state witnessed a drop in the Covid cases.
