There is a rapid decline in the Covid third wave with only six patients being hospitalized in Mumbai on Friday. Mumbai city registered 78 cases and has recorded zero deaths for the eighth consecutive day.
On Friday, the daily cases, in Maharashtra, has risen slightly to 523 and the deaths have fallen to a single digit (9) as compared to 12 on Thursday.
A member of the State Government Task Force on Covid, Dr. Rahul Pandit has said that on Friday, there have been no new Covid admissions in the ICU. Also, according to the BMC update, only 1.8% of the 35,823 Covid beds in Mumbai are occupied.
“Things are good, but instead of relaxing we need to get back to the basics,” said Dr. Pandit, as quoted by The Times Of India.
