On Thursday, the state health department said that in the last 24 hours, as many as 511 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Most number of fresh cases (350) were witnessed in Mumbai. These numbers have resulted in the biggest jump of daily Covid cases in the state since March 5 when Maharashtra had logged 535 cases.
The states’ Covid tally now stands at 78,84,329 and the toll stands at 1,47,858. According to the health department, the states’ active cases now stand at 2,361. There are no active cases in Nandurbar, Dhule, Latur, Hingoli, Akola, Buldhana, Yavatmal, Wardha and Gondia districts.
In the last 24 hours, 324 patients have recovered from Covid infection which has taken patients’ cumulative tally to 77,34,110. The recovery rate of Maharashtra stands at 98.09%
