In the last 24 hours, the state logged 11,877 fresh Covid cases. Mumbai registered 8,063 fresh infections and the state witnessed 9 Covid deaths.
Yesterday, Maharashtra recorded 50 new Omicron cases from which most of the cases have been reported from Pune. The overall Omicron count in Maharashtra stands at 510, including 328 cases from Mumbai. Maharashtra has logged the highest overall cases in the country with 42,024 active cases, also including 29,819 cases from Mumbai
Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray said that the Mumbai civic body is adding the number of asymptomatic patients, hospital beds, and oxygen-supported beds being occupied to the daily bulleting in order to avoid any unnecessary panic.
