Indane gas customers can refill their LPG cylinders just through a missed call on 8454955555.According to an IOC statement, Indane Gas customers across India can use the number for making a booking of a refill cylinder. Also, no call charges will be levied as compared to Interactive Voice Response(IVR). This service will be extremely beneficial for the ones who are not well versed with IVR calls, senior citizens and the ones living in rural areas.
The missed call facility has been launched by Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhaan for LPG consumers at an event in Bhubaneswar and the facility will soon be extended to all over the country.Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan exhorted the gas agencies and distributors to ensure that the LPG delivery period should be shortened from one day to a few hours.

“In line with PM Narendra Modi’s vision for a Digital India, these consumer-centric initiatives will make LPG refill booking and new connection registration more convenient and free of cost. This will benefit consumers, especially the elderly and those from rural areas,” Dharmendra Pradhan said. “The LPG connection has really empowered the Indian women,” he added.
Describing the initiative as one more example of the Narendra Modi government’s efforts to make things easier for people, Pradhan said only 13 crore LPG connections were given out in six decades before 2014.
How to use the missed call facility?
The Missed Call facility requires just one step. The customers need to give a single missed call from their registered mobile number on the number: 8454955555 for refill booking.
Once they do so, the customer will then receive a message reading that the LPG refill connection booking is successful.
