Recently the world saw crowds of people flooding the tourist state of Himachal Pradesh and that’s not it.

In Maharashtra, tourist spots are overflowing with people going out on vacations and outings and just.

Numerous tourists from Mumbai, Pune and other cities of the state made their way to the famous dams, forts and waterfalls in Lonavala for a weekend picnic but to no avail!

The tourists were turned down as asked to take a U-turn on Saturday as the city’s administration imposed a curfew with a 1-km radius of popular tourist spots to avert overcrowding in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

TS Mujawar, senior inspector, Lonavala rural police, said, “We had stopped entry of tourists at least two-three km away from the popular spots, at 10-11 entry points. Tourists coming in vehicles from Mumbai, Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Mulshi were not allowed to get down.”

New rules were brought to effect immediately keeping the number of tourists in mind, who visit the hill station during the monsoon.
