The main focus of Thane Municipal Corporation is now on recovering property tax from big defaulters. The department of property tax has informed that one such kind of defaulters is the Korum mall. Allegedly, it has defaulted to the tune of Rs. 8.50 Cr in property tax.
However, the authorities of the mall have denied the allegations. They have claimed that the amount is disputed and the matter is also sub-judice. Earlier, the team of civic officials was in the mall this week in order to inform the authorities of the mall to clear the amount.
