On Tuesday, the Harappan city, Dholavira in Gujarat, was listed in UNESCO as a world heritage site.
The decision was taken at the 44th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee at Fuzhou(China), UNESCO’s announcement came days after another site, Ramappa Temple in Telangana.
Dholavira, is one of the five largest Harappan sites and is believed to be one of the grandest cities of the time and is the most important archaeological site belonging to the Indus Valley Civilization.
