The Maharashtra government has declared of extending the Lockdown like restrictions in the state till 1st of June.
The extension was announced on Thursday via the official Twitter handle of CMO Maharashtra.
The extension is a part of ‘Break the Chain’ initiative taken by the government of the state.
What are the new Guidelines?
- ANYONE entering the state will have to carry a NEGATIVE RT-PCR report.
- The report must’ve been issues from maximum 2 days before the time of traveling.
- The lockdown like restrictions will remain in place till 7am on 1st of June.
- Milk collection, transport and processing may be allowed without restrictions but its retail sale is bound to restrictions imposed on shops dealing with essential items or through home delivery.
- Personnel engaged in airport and port services and needed for movement of cargo related to medicines or equipments needed for Covid management will be allowed to travel in local, mono and metro services.
- Marriage – only 25 people allowed to attend in the time span of 2 hours in a single hall. A fine of Rs 50,000 will be imposed for violating the rules.
- Government Offices (except emergency related services, will operate at 15% attendace.
- Private vehicles (except buses) will be able to run only for urgent or emergency services, within the City only, with 50% seating capacity.
- Private buses can run with 50 percent capacity.
- In the case of cargo carriers, not more than two people (Driver + Cleaner/ helper) may be allowed to travel in the same.
- Inter district travel is still banned until medical emergencies or funerals to be attended.
“There is no sufficient supply of vaccine vials by the Centre for inoculation of above-45 age group people. Hence, the state cabinet decided to divert the stock, purchased for the 18-44 age group, for the above-45 age group. Therefore, we are suspending the inoculation of the 18-44 age group for some period,” state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said.
Thus, the restrictions are almost the same as the previous lockdown but a stricter observation will continue on the ones who break the rules.
