On Friday, Maharashtra Chief Minister announced a toll waiver for a period of two weeks from August 27 to September 11 amid the celebrated festival of Ganesh Utsav.
CM Shinde has said that the toll waiver will be on Mumbai Goa and Mumbai Bangalore Highway along with State Public Department Roads.
It was in the monsoon session that concluded on Thursday when this demand was made by the ruling as well as the opposition parties along with various people for the toll waiver ahead of Ganesh Utsav. For the benefit of the travelers going towards Konkan, a government resolution has been issued by the Public Work Department.
