On Sunday, post the raid in his bungalow in Bhandup, Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, which followed with a Rs.11.5 lakh seizure along with a search that went up to 8 hours linked to the alleged money laundering in the Patra Chawl redevelopment case.
Today, Raut will be produced in front of the court, told his brother Sunil Raut to the media at the time of the arrest. During the time of the search, Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha along with his mother and Sunil Raut – his MLA brother were present at home.
The search by Enforcement Directorate started at Sanjay Raut’s bungalow on Sunday morning at 7 a.m. Nearly at 4 p.m, Raut was asked by the ED to accompany them to their zonal office situated in the Ballard Estate.
