Due to the heat wave in Maharashtra, the school timings in the state may change very soon. There have been constant requests from the students as well as the parents, for which it is expected that some relief may be allowed by the government.
According to TOI’s report, Maharashtra Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare has said that the respective education officers as well as the district collectors can decide about the change in school timings in the state.
The schools in Maharashtra had opened at a time when the Covid curbs were eased by the government. Now, many schools in Maharashtra have their school timings around 7:30 am to 1:00 pm. Due to the heat wave, the parents are hoping the schools keep shorter hours and end the classes by noon, so that the kids can come back home before the heat rises.
