Delhi government has announced that only CNG-run and electric vehicles will be allowed to enter the city beginning from November 27. All the vehicles running on petrol and diesel will be banned till December 3. This move has been taken in view to keep the air pollution in the city under control. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has given out this information.
A high-level meeting was conducted to decide on the measures required in keeping Delhi’s air clean and breathable.
During the press briefing, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said, “As pollution level in Delhi is reducing leading to an improved Air Quality Index (AQI) similar to pre-Diwali days, the Delhi government has taken a slew of measures to maintain it.
