Covid-19: Maharashtra crosses 200-mark after 40 days; Mumbai accounts for 60% Covid cases

On Thursday, Maharashtra crossed the mark of 200 after 40 days and reported 233 fresh Covid cases. Mumbai accounts for 60% of the new Covid cases with a detection of 130 fresh cases. No deaths or rise in hospitalisations were reported. Mumbai’s daily positivity rate has inclined towards 2%. 

A senior civic official has said that there is no reason to worry as there are very few hospitalisations. The bed occupancy rate stands at 0,06% wherein currently, Mumbai has 15 patients who are admitted in the hospital.

There is a rise in active cases in Maharashtra as well as Mumbai. In Maharashtra, the active cases have reached 1,109 and in Mumbai, the active cases have reached 682.
