A day after Cristiano Ronaldo replaced Coca-Cola with Drinking water from his table during a press conference, the brand took a major hit in its stock value. 

 

According to reports Coca-Cola’s share price dropped from $56.10 to $55.22, taking a 1.6% dip. This saw the market value of the brand going down from $242bn to $238bn (a drop of $4bn).

 

Ronaldo is known as one of the fittest athletes.

 

Coca-Cola decides to reply to Ronaldo’s action, “everyone is entitled to their drink preferences” as people have different “tastes and needs”.

 

On Tuesday, Ronaldo scored a brace against Hungary in their opening game of Euro 2020 in Budapest.
