On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the citizens above the age of 60 will be given third Covid jabs from January 10 if they suffer from certain comorbid conditions. The Prime Minister also called the third jab a precautionary dose.

Official data shows that there are around 137.5 million people above the age of 60 years, who could be eligible for the third dose.

The citizens above the age of 60 will have to show a medical certificate that will specify comorbidities for being eligible for the precautionary dose.
