In view of the ongoing controversy of BharatPe, Ashneer Grover – Co-founder and MD of BharatPe has resigned as the Managing Director and a Director from the firm with immediate effect.
This resignation came a day after he lost the arbitration filed with the Singapore International Arbitration Centre wherein he claimed that the company’s investigation against him is illegal.
In the resignation letter to the company, Grover said “I hereby resign as the MD of BharatPe, effective immediately. I also resign as a director of the board. I will continue as the single largest individual shareholder of the company.”
Last month, Grover had gone on a two-month leave of absence following the usage of abusive language against a staff of Kotak Mahindra Bank and fraudulent practices.
