Khaali Peeli Peeli starring new generation faces of Bollywood, Ananya Panday, and Ishaan Khattar, released its first song on Monday, September 7. The song is named as “Beyonce Sharma Jayegi”. Beyonce has nothing to do with the movie, the movie stars, or anything at all, but, as netizens say, she has been used as a tool to show “the last show by Bollywood about Colorism.”

The lyrics go like, “Tujhe Dekh Ke Goriya, Beyonce Sharma Jayegi.” The word Goriya triggered the netizens and anti-racist humans. It seems as if Ananya Panday has been compared with Beyonce, which is an insult in itself. Also, the term Goriya translates as Fair Woman and then, adding Beyonce’s name, who is a beautiful dark-skinned woman, led to a lot of criticisms for the song.

Kumar and Raj Shankar for the lyrics, Vishal-Shekhar for their composition, and Ananya and Ishaan for accepting the song and dancing on the same, is seeing a lot of hatred, disapprovals and disappointments.

With the trending hashtag of #BlackLivesMatter, here is what Bollywood learns from it and produces songs like this one.

The 412K dislikes have surpassed the extremely low, 52K likes on the official video posted by Zee Music Company.

“She need an Oscar for that pretty dark skin
Gold like 24K, okay”

“There’s complexities in complexion
But your skin, it glows like diamonds
Pigment like the earth, you be giving birth
To everything alive, baby, know your worth”

-Beyonce

These are the lyrics of the song named Brown Skin Girl by Beyonce. The effort that the Singer is taking to spread awareness about normalizing every beautiful skin shade, on the other hand, instead of being inspired by her work, Bollywood is normalizing racism through the song is what the netizens claim.

Apologies to the Singer are trending on twitter.

Khaali Peeli is may go down in the dumps due to the rage and hate it is facing currently.
