Amazon MiniTV which is a new in-app service is the first of its kind by Amazon across the globe. The MiniTV is an ad-based video streaming service which is currently available to users of Amazon App in India only. It was last week that the feature was announced and the company said that the MiniTV will feature content which will range from web series, comedy shows to food, beauty, fashion content and more.
This streaming service is integrated within the app and hence, MiniTV will make the Amazon India shopping app for its customers wanting to shop products or make payments or watch free entertainment videos.
In order to watch those entertainment videos, the users will only have to open up their Amazon India app and click on the MiniTV section. This process works much like streaming service offered via in-app portals like MyJio and Flipkart.
Amazon Prime is the first video entertainment offering by Amazon which requires a paid subscription. Lately, Amazon has been putting in efforts for content push on the Prime videos. MiniTV stands at second position as video entertainment offering by Amazon.
The MiniTV feature will be consisting of content from TVF, Pocket Aces and other productions. Not only this, the viewers will also have the access to watch content from comedians like Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Shruti Arjun Anand, Elvish Yadav, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Aakash Gupta and Nishant Tanwar.
Along with this, other content will include videos from beauty experts like Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Jovita George, Prerna Chhabra and ShivShakti. Food content will be covered in videos by Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble.
Currently, MiniTV is available only for Android users in India. The support for IOS and mobile web will be out in coming months. MiniTV will continue to add on fresh and exclusive videos for its users in the upcoming months.
