On Wednesday, it was announced by the Archaeological Survey of India that entries will be free of cost in all the Centrally-protected monuments starting from August 5 to August 15. There are more than 3,600 ASI-protected monuments in India.
To celebrate the 75 years of Independence, the ASI order has said that the entry fee won’t be charged in the monuments. In a tweet, Culture Minister G.Kishan Reddy said that “As part of ‘Azadi ka #AmritMahotsav’ and 75th I-Day celebrations, @ASIGol has made Entry Free for the visitors/tourists to all its protected monuments/sites across the country, from 5th-15th August 2022.
