On Wednesday, ahead of the inoculation review meeting with PM Narendra Modi, CM Uddhav Thackeray took a review of the coverage of vaccination in the state. Thackeray appealed to people to come and get themselves vaccinated.
In Maharashtra, Mumbai, Pune, Bhandara, and Sindhudurg are leading the vaccination drive with the percentage of first dose inoculation ranging between 89% and 99%. Whereas, districts like Nandurbar, Akola, Beed, Buldhana, and Amravati are way behind with the coverage of 51-55% for the first dose.
