As we saw a decline in the cases of covid-19 the restrictions were eased but after this, we are now seeing a sudden rise in the number of cases in cities and this could give rise to several complications for the cities. Therefore, the thane municipal commissioner has announced 16 hotspots in thane and these hotspots will have lockdown like it was during the Nationwide lockdown till 31st march.
As per the order which was issued by thane Municipal commissioner Vipin Sharma there would be 16 hotspots through thane. The decision was taken because of the rise in cases of Covid-19 in the city.

- Suryanagar, Vitawa
- Kharegaon Health Centre
- Srinagar
- Chendani Koliwada
- Hiranandani Estate
- Lodha, Majiwada
- Runwal Garden city, Balkum
- Lodha Amara
- Rustomjee, Vrindavan
- Dosti Vihar
- Hiranandani Meadows
- Patil Wadi
- Runwal Plaza, Kores Nakshatra, Kores Tower
- Runwal Nagar, Kolbad
- Shivai Nagar
Meanwhile, 8,744 were infected by the virus in Maharashtra on Monday.
The total number of cases in Maharashtra have risen to 22,284,471
While the death toll has reached 52,500 with 22 fatalities, a health department official said.
