2020 charshed all our plans from theater to local train everything was closed. In terms of entertainment all we were left with our mobiles and laptops.
We were lucky that we got some flabbergasted characters and their performances that made our life a little less stressful. Being home for 24 hours were not easy.
Harshad Mehta
Actor Pratik Gandhi who played Harshad Mehta was surprised with the success of Scam 1992. It was surprising how Pratik Gandhi accomplished a controversial role like Harshad Mehta. The character was challenging to make him alive as a normal man. Sometimes people felt sympathetic towards him and at times they hated him. However Harshad Mehta is still known as negative person. But Pratik helped us to see the emotional side of Harshad Mehta the Man behind one of the biggest Scams of India.
Munna Tripathi
Divyenndu Sharma aka Munna Tripathi had already given a flabbergasted performance in Mirzapur season 1 but this time in 2nd season, he gave us an extra dose of entertainment with his acting skills. The character was unpredictable and has so many shade in his personality. He was shown as a very dark soul, but we saw a lot of pain in him Munna Tripathi. No matter how dark this guy’s character, but when he was in pain even the audience felt the pain.
Beena Tripathi
Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi was indeed a bold character from the first season, we knew there was more for her. In the 2nd season, we got to know her as someone who can manipulate power according to her own convenience, she changed the game in second season by playing the ‘Strongest Women Character of 2020’.
Hathoda Tyagi
Abhishek Banerjee as Hathoda Tyagi in Paatal lok was another strongest character. It’s not easy to show deepest of your emotions without any dialouges but just expressions. It is even more difficult for a silent character to play such a role.
Kashipur waale Baba Nirala
Bobby Deol played the role of Kashipur waale Baba Nirala in an OTT series ‘Aashram’. His performance was gripping in the season 1st as well as the 2nd . He portrayed the dark side of a ‘self – acclaimed’ godmen in the country. It was great to see Deol play this role which was a mask of faith and power play .

Sushmita Sen delivered a powerful performance. Her role portrayed what a single mother can do for her children. She can be both – a caring cat and a brave tigress!

Dr Avinash Sabharwal (played by Abhishek), whose six-year-old daughter Siya is kidnapped by a mysterious masked man. The thriller series shows how far Dr. Avinash will go for the sake of his missing daughter, as the kidnapper demands that he commit murder, if he wants to see her alive.

Arshad Warsi gave life to his character Dhananjay in one of the Most Loved Web Series Asur. The kind of brilliant blandness that is expected from typical CBI officer stands out. We have seen Arshad Warsi in a comic character and seeing him in this role was new and exciting.

Jitendar Kumar as Abhishek Tripathi in Panchayat showed the struggle of the people that are stuck in Government Job, but has dreams of working for a Corporate Job. It was relatable because of the simplicity in the character. Portraying the emotions of common people isn’t that easy but, Kumar did it with ease.
